Job description

Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust has an exciting opportunity for a Pay & Employee Services Helpdesk Officers to join its busy Pay & Employee Services Department.

Delivering a service to over 42,000 employees, you will work as part of a busy team and will be able to demonstrate strong organisational skills to ensure effective service delivery.

Responsible for processing all timesheet, expense, sickness and absence information and assessing for accuracy, ensuring all information is dealt with in a timely manner and processed in line with tight deadlines. Whilst also providing administrative support to all teams within the Pay & Employee Services department, including Pensions, Employee Benefits, ESR, e-Expenses and eRostering.

You will also be responsible for ensuring all incoming and outgoing post is dealt with appropriately, whilst also managing electronic submissions of information into the department.

You will be the first line support to employees and clients calling the department, therefore, candidates must have excellent communication skills and be able to demonstrate delivery of effective Customer Service.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience of working within a Payroll and Pensions department and ideally have worked within an NHS Payroll department, but this is not essential and full training will be given.
