Based in central Sheffield, Parts4engines is a small, friendly firm supplying marine engine parts to internet customers around the world. Due to expansion, we need an additional member of staff to work in our shipping department for an initial 27 hours a week over 3 days (days to be arranged) with prospects for increased hours.
Shipping Department Operative
Job description
· Fulfil orders from the point of invoicing onwards
· Prepare shipments by assembling and labelling packaging, collecting parts from picking lists and packing ordered items
· Book shipping online with our couriers
· Maintain clean and safe work environment; comply with legal regulations
· Perform any other duties required to achieve the purpose of the post.
Requirements
You will need to be:
· Well organised and systematic
· Able to work to courier collection deadlines
· Able to lift and carry heavy boxes, use ladders and stand for long periods
· IT literate – able to input data, use the internet, send and receive emails
· Numerate – able to do simple arithmetic
· Happy to work in a warehouse environment
· Good at working in a small team environment
· Flexible and willing to take on extra duties as required
Previous experience in picking and packing is essential.
Experience of engineering products is not essential, but would be advantageous.

Part-time hours: 27 per week
Salary: £12.50 per hour
