Job description

Maplesoft Group is currently seeking an Email Marketing & Content Writing Services for our Federal Government client.

The following responsibilities are associated with the “Statement of Work” but are not
limited to:

Primary Responsibilities
  • Develop, write, and edit copy for a variety of different marketing campaigns, including email campaigns, landing pages, newsletters etc.
  • Develop, write, and edit email copy for lead generation campaigns.
  • Develop, write, and edit email copy for nurturing workflows across the entire customer journey from acquisition, conversion, and retention.
  • Develop, write, and edit email copy using personalization, segmentation, and other writing techniques based on the targeted audience.
  • Edit, test, and proofread copy for all campaigns, including other team members’ work.
  • Applies the client brand to all digital initiatives and represents the voice of the customer throughout the journey.
  • Work with stakeholders across the corporation to understand the problem they are trying to solve in order to develop and source content for email campaigns.
  • Works with our translation department to request and review French.
  • Work with other teams as required to acquire and analyze data and produce short-term and long-term trend and success reports.

Specific Project Requirements
Focus will be primarily working on the development of email nurturing campaigns to promote our products, services and provide value to both prospects and customers leveraging our AGILE marketing framework in everything that you do.

Skills
Top Skills Required:
  • Experience writing and editing marketing communication copy and digital storytelling, ideally for email and web, for B2B customers and prospects for financial products and services.
  • Strong, sharp, and personable writing style and a keen understanding of how to craft copy that moves people to act, and what actions will achieve the right impact at the right time.
  • Knowledge of email marketing best practices and experience drafting content and copy for email campaigns with personalization and segmented audiences in mind.

Other Skills Required:
  • Great attention to detail with strong interpersonal qualities, ability to work both independently and with multiple stakeholders across the organization requiring project management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A self-learner, someone who is proactive, loves to be challenged and trying new things.

Assets (but not required):
  • Experience working in an AGILE Marketing environment
  • The ability to write in both of Canada’s official languages.
  • B2B/Financial services marketing experience
  • Email automation experience using Eloqua, Marketo, Salesforce, or other email automation and CRM platforms
  • Knowledge of front-end web development for email.
  • Familiarity with web analytics platforms, variable testing, tracking codes, parameters, and their relationship to databases.
