Manufacturing and Production Scientist

Life Science Group (LSG) is a rapidly growing manufacturing company operating large scale clean room manufacturing and novel antibody development. The company has a vacancy for an experienced Manufacturing and Production Scientist.
This role is responsible for the overall operation of LSG manufacturing of media, buffers, cell culture sera together with QC processes, new product formulation, method transfer validation and to ensure both products and processes meet the required standards required by ISO 13485 and GMP. The role includes the development of processes, the training, managing and ensuring employees are competent to perform test and manufacturing procedures, record and report test results promptly, accurately and proficiently and for assuring compliance with the applicable regulatory authorities. The Bioprocessing and Production Scientist is responsible for the safe and cost-effective management of the resources (space, equipment and communal consumables) available, as well as maintenance of equipment within the laboratory and production environment.
The successful applicant will be educated to degree level or equivalent in a biological science subject. Previous laboratory experience including experience in laboratory management and GMP processing in clean room environments is essential. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders are essential
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
·Work with the Management and Quality Team to develop project goals and objectives.
·Assist in the preparation of all written reports and other documents as required
·Assist in the preparation of all production equipment for manufacturing.
·Perform other duties as assigned by the Management Team.
- Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, or related field required.
- A minimum of two years of experience working in a GMP environment.
- A minimum of two years of experience working in a clean room environment
- Experience in the production of process reports and batch records
- Experience working with PC-based software such as Microsoft Office required.
- Experience of managing a production/bioprocessing team essential
