Job description

Are you a skilled HR professional with a passion for the legal industry? Do you possess exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving skills? We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced HR Adviser to join a prestigious law firm. As a HR Adviser, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive human resources support to our legal professionals and staff.

You will be required to:

  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with the firm’s goals and objectives.
  • Provide guidance and advice to management and employees on HR-related matters, including performance management, employee relations, recruitment, compensation, and benefits.
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and internal policies.
  • Support the recruitment process, including job posting, screening, interviewing, and making recommendations to hiring managers.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and facilitate professional development and training programs for employees.
  • Handle employee relations issues, such as conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures.
  • Stay up to date with employment laws, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and proactively address potential risks.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, ensuring data integrity and privacy.
  • Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement employee engagement initiatives, fostering a positive and inclusive work culture.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or Level 5 CIPD qualified.
  • Proven experience working as an HR Adviser or similar role in a law firm or professional services environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on providing practical and effective solutions.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in HRIS software and MS Office Suite.
