Job Overview
Due to continued growth, we are delighted to be looking for a number of Production Operatives to join our expanding team. Roles include:
- Assembly Operative
- CNC Operative
- Finishing (Paint) Operative
- Machine (Edgebander, Sander, Saw) Operative
- QC/Packing Operative
Duties and Responsibilities
Working in a busy production environment, you will work as part of a team to manufacture bespoke joinery elements from raw materials to finished goods.
- Use various tools and operate a variety of machinery to cut, shape, kit, finish and assemble timber products
- Fulfil individual and departmental hourly/daily/weekly production targets
- Use the electronic scanning system to record production progress
- Troubleshoot when production issues occur and fix any minor issues where possible
- Immediately notify the Team Lead when production issues occur that cannot be resolved by you
- Undertake equipment inspection, maintenance and cleaning in accordance with instructions
- Work to company policies and procedures at all times
- Comply with quality standards always
- Always carry out tasks in line with health and safety requirements
- Carry out general housekeeping to ensure your workstation is clean, tidy and free from hazards
- Proactively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Person Specification
You will be a highly motivated, driven individual who puts our customer at the centre of everything you do. You will contribute to the growth and success of our business through your skills and experience and you will have:
- Previous fabrication/manufacturing experience (Experience working with wood processing tools and/or machinery would be advantageous)
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good punctuality, time management and task management skills
- The ability to work from technical drawings and follow written instructions
- The ability to work individually with minimum supervision and as part of a team
- Experience of operating, loading and unloading CNC machines, specialist machinery, or materials handling equipment as an advantage
Hours of Work: 6.00am to 4.30pm, Monday to Thursday
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: From £10.42 per hour
