Job description

We are a business that are leading the way in the processing and bottling of alcoholic beverages for many international and leading brands from our Broxburn based site and with this has come the opportunity to recruit additional experienced staff to join us on our exciting journey.

Hours of work are 6am to 2pm Mon - Thu and 6am - 1pm Fri. There is also an additional 4% Uplift in Salary for Shift Allowance.

Job Description

Reporting to the Quality Team Leader you will be the first port of call for any quality issues that occur on the production lines. You will be responsible for completing regular quality checks and ensuring quality standards are maintained throughout production runs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Health and Safety

· Promote safe working as our highest priority

· Completing safety observation cards to help maintain health and safety on site.

2. Product Quality & Food Safety

· Completion of pre-start up line checks to ensure all materials are correct prior to bottling

· Completion of frequent quality checks ensuring all components adhere to quality standards and ensuring anything out of specification is reported back to the Production Line Supervisors

· Ensure all line paperwork is completed in full

· Provide first point support to Production Line Supervisors for Quality related items

· Support the investigation of Customer Complaints including participation in Root Cause Analysis

· Completion of Non-conforming product reports to assist Quality Technicians

· Ensure site standards are maintained by cleaning as you go on shift.

· Supporting customer & Supplier visits.

· Supporting internal and external audits.

3. New Product Development

· Assisting with line trials for a new product.

4. Continuous Improvement

· Active participation in continuous improvement projects

Essential

· Ability to use own initiative,

· Work within a team as well as work on your own

· Good attention to detail

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills

· Ability to react quickly and adapt to change on a daily basis

· Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced & high-volume manufacturing environment

Desirable

· FMCG experience

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Up to £22,576.15 per year
