With client locations ranging from 10 to 2,000 staff, we supply the fuel to achieve a happy, productive environment.
You'll be joining a well-established team of 15 vending operators and support staff who look after our operated vending equipment. It's a great opportunity to visit a wide range of work environments and act as a liaison between us and our customers.
Job Function:
The main function of this role is to ensure to continuous operation of our vending machines and the satisfaction of our customers. To fill, clean and merchandise a range of beverage and confectionery machines across a wide range of customer sites and environments.
Responsibility:
We are directly responsible for over 600 vending machines across the south coast. The main job responsibility of our vending operators is to keep our fleet of vending machines clean, stocked and operational at all times.
Cleanliness and hygiene are vital to the safe operation of our business. Appropriate cleaning and PPE materials are provided and must be used at all times.
You must also ensure appropriate stock rotation both on your vehicle and in the machines assigned to your route.
As a weekly visitor to our customer sites, you will become the main point of contact for the users of our machines. It is a key responsibility of the role that you project a friendly, approachable & positive image of Bettavend and takes responsibility to rectify or report any trouble the customer may be experiencing.
You must keep your vehicle in clean and roadworthy condition checking oil, tyres and battery and washing weekly.
Adhere to route schedule as agreed with the supervisor and give customer care at all times.
Collection of meter reading information and cash from machines and delivery to the office.
Competencies:
Must have a full UK driving license.
To be proficient in the cleaning, re-stocking and general upkeep of automated drinks machines. Full training is given as part of a 3-week induction and 3-month probationary period.
Whilst not mandatory, a background in catering is preferable as many key skills are transferrable into the vending sector.
We look after a wide range of different makes and models of vending equipment. The ability to transfer training and knowledge between the various machines is key.
You must be adaptable to changes in the demand of equipment and communicate any adjustment effectively and efficiently to the relevant people.
Your day-to-day operations are logged via a mobile phone app running on company Android mobile devices. successful applicants must be proficient with such technologies.
Full training is provided from the start as well as all uniforms and any PPE required.
A company vehicle is available for work use only and you will be responsible for the cleanliness and roadworthiness of the vehicle as you are asked to take it home at the end of each day. This will mean there are no transport costs for you to get to and from work.
Basic hours are Monday to Friday from 06:00 to 15:30 equating to a 45hr week. There are no requirements for weekend or bank holiday work however overtime is readily available for this.
21 days paid leave + 8 days bank holiday per year. Annual Leave allocation rises 1 day per annum for every 2 years of completed service.
