Non-Executive Director (Women's & Girls) St Mary's Bay, England

Southampton Football Club
Full Time St Mary's Bay, England 88575 - 140075 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

Be part of our journey...
Southampton FC Women has seen a meteoric growth in the past few seasons. With a thriving academy already providing new talent for the club the creation of a Women’s first team ahead of the 2017/18 season was the beginning of a prosperous rise into senior football.
Since 2017/18 Marieanne Spacey-Cale’s side won back-to-back promotions, most recently securing their place in the Barclays Women’s Championship after beating Wolverhampton Wanderers in their play-off final.
Our Women’s first team are full time professionals based at the famous and well known Staplewood Campus and also play their home games at St Mary’s Stadium.
One of the youngest teams in the Women’s Championship, and with 10 of the current Women’s first team having risen through the academy ranks, with current England and other senior international players in the squad, the future is bright for the side as they compete at their highest level to date.
Our ambition is to become a competitive WSL team in the future and to be seen as leading not following. In order to achieve this goal we are investing in and expanding the current structure to bring in additional critical leadership and operational roles which are key to our future success and we would love for people as equally passionate about the Women’s game to join us.
What will you be doing?
You will be responsible for making a creative contribution to the board by providing oversight and constructive challenge to the executive directors. Bring a different perspective to proceedings as you assist with business strategy and make sure that risks are managed effectively.
Is this you?
To thrive in this role, you will be an excellent representation of the Club’s values and passionate about making a positive change. You have a natural curiosity to learn from others and from new experiences. You will be happy to voice and contribute your opinions whilst being a fantastic team player.
