Rail Administrator – Nights
We’re looking for a capable, motivated administrator to join the Lanes Rail Division night team. Providing administrative assistance and support across the team, you will primarily provide specific support to the night management team.
The role will involve organising and supporting our night crews, assisting the Night Operations Manager to deliver our strategy and vision for the reactive and planned works.
Hours: Sunday to Thursday Nights
Location: Rail division, Rainham
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Schedule:
Permanent night position from 19:00pm – 03:00am Sunday to Thursday night, following an initial period of 2 months training from 21:00 to 05:00 Sunday to Thursday night.
Your main duties would include:
Assisting with day to day running of the night office
To act as the first point of contact (via email and telephone) for the night management team
Answering and handling telephone calls from our engineers and liaising with our call centre
Organising and issuing the safety critical publication and H&S bulletins for track engineers
Collating information and whereabouts from our contractors
Preparing work, instructions, printing, and issuing nightly whereabouts
Collating reports and information for handover with day management
Archiving of relevant documentation
Requirements:
Good numerical ability
Excellent written English
Self-organisational and work planning skills
Strong IT skills, Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams
Demonstrate excellent organisational and communication skills
Resilient, adaptable and flexible
Excellent team working skills
