We are seeking a highly motivated and inspirational team leader to join us in taking our Environmental Protection Team forward.
This key role in our Environmental Health & Public Protection Service will have responsibility for inspiring, leading and managing a team delivering a wide range of Environmental Protection functions including: permitted processes, contaminated land, air quality, noise control, enviro crime, statutory nuisances and animal welfare. You will be given freedom and responsibility to identify and work on innovative projects and to contribute to how the wider service is delivered.
Essential requirements for this role include:
- A Degree / MSc in Environmental Health.
- EHRB Certificate of Registration.
- Post qualification experience with detailed knowledge in relevant specialist areas.
- Previous experience of managing a team and devising and implementing projects.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to organise and prioritise.
- Assertiveness and ability to work under pressure.
- Investigative, research, analytical and critical thinking skills.
Possession of a Supervisory / Management qualification, or equivalent vocational experience is desirable.
