About the role:
An opportunity has arisen for a part-time Night Shift Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our Blood Sciences Department based at the Halo, 1 Mabledon Place, Central London.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Preparing and processing different type of biological samples for a wide range of tests.
- Entering patient details and test requests on the pathology computer system.
- Assisting the Biomedical Scientists in performing laboratory bench work or automated analysis following standard operating procedures.
- Answering enquiries from health care professionals at the hospital, in the community and patients, regarding the specimen type, processing state and expected time frames for laboratory investigations.
No prior experience is required but should have good computer skills, good verbal & written communication skills, can work well in a team and have a flexible approach to both workload & task allocation.
The successful candidate will be expected to work night shifts which will be equivalent to 20 hours per week.
