A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A NIGHT RECEPTIONIST AT THE GANTRY LONDON CURIO COLLECTION BY HILTON
What you'll be doing...
Reporting to the Night Manager and Front Office Manager, you can expect your working day to include the following.
- Welcomes guests as soon as they arrive with care and attention, with a personalised approach.
- Is proactive, anticipates guests' needs, and looks for a suitable solution.
- Competent in taking Reservations, and upselling where possible to maximize the average room rate.
- Audits room rates, and charges, reconciles and balances revenues generated as per night audit checklist.

To succeed in the role of Night Receptionist, you will need the following qualities and skills.
We are looking for someone with great attention to detail, exceptional communication skills, and creating a wow factor through perfect customer service for every guest.
You ideally are a hospitality professional who has worked in a customer-facing role, has a positive can-do attitude, and works well in a team. Experience in ONQ is advantageous but not essential.
This is a hands-on role, and the successful applicant must be able to effectively liaise with other departments, answer guest inquiries in a timely and courteous manner, use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities, and demonstrate knowledge of hotel products, services, pricing, and policies, as well as knowledge of the local area.
