What we expect from you:
The role of the Night Porter is generally about the security of the building while most of our guests are asleep. A friendly, welcoming and efficient service from our reception is our aim and you will continue the good work carried out by the daytime receptionists.
- Undertake front of house duties, including meeting, greeting and attending to the needs of guests to ensure a superb customer service experience
- Ensure the security of the building is maintained through the quite hours, as directed by the hotel management. Usually done by regular walk rounds and recording the action in a log.
- To deal with guest requests to assist in a comfortable stay
- To be aware of your hours worked (17 week average rule)
- Be fully conversant with the procedures in case of an emergency. This will cover the procedure for guests being taken ill, fire safety and procedure, and also for yourself working alone.
- Be aware of company Health & Safety policy in your workplace and assist others to help to maintain a safe working environment, including the “buddy” contact process
- Assist guests with luggage if necessary
