Packing assistant
Job description
Assembling vegetable, fruit, dry goods, dairy, frozen and fine food produce into the required format.
Efficient accurate packing of fresh produce to a high standard.
Packing leafy vegetables into bags and fruit or vegetables into punnets/trays at a specific weight.
Being aware of the quality standards and portion size required when packing produce.
Grading fruit and vegetables.
Rotation of all Stock
Maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
Observe the company Health + Safety policy and your role within it.
Assist in other areas of the business as required.
Filling of the appropriate daily/weekly HACCP documents
Filling in check sheets and other documentation required
Working hours, with some flexibility: 10 pm – 6am Monday to Saturday –including 30 minutes unpaid break.
Sometimes it is necessary to work past the normal working hours in order to complete the workload- You will be paid for the hours you work.
