Job description
We are looking for 2-3 Personal Care Assistants to cover day and waking night shifts, to care for a 97 year old gentleman who has Dementia, in his own home in the Skelton area of York.
The hours to be covered are:
2 x daytime hours: 10 am till 2 pm & 4 pm till 8 pm (days are flexible and to be arranged by a rota) These hours could be shared between 1 or 2 carers.
2 x 12 hour waking night hours: 8 pm till 8 am (nights are flexible and to be arranged by a rota)
Extra hours will be required to cover holidays and sickness of other staff.
The daytime rate of pay is £15.00 per hour. The care assistants will be on a self employed basis, and will have to submit their own National Insurance etc.
Daytime duties include: safeguarding, companionship, meal preparation and light domestic duties.
Night time duties include: Administer medication, put to bed/get up, toilet duties, reassurance, personal care, breakfast etc.
A DBS and references are required for this position.
Start date: As soon as possible/immediate.
