Amitola Communities is an independent organisation based in York, that care for and support adults with complex mental health issues and learning disabilities. We provide this support in the form of residential care homes, recovery houses and bespoke floating support services in the community.

The Gravers Care home has full and/or part time positions available for working night staff. The Gravers is a a homely environment and a family run organization. We treat our residents as people and not as patients which you may sometimes find in more clinical setting
It is essential that our residents have a good night sleep as poor sleep hygiene impacts negatively on peoples mental health. You will be require to complete domestic tasks during your shift although if a resident wakes throughout the night then they are your priority. At times residents do need support throughout the night to help reassure and enable them to feel safe.
There is a pathway of development for employees who would like to build a career in mental health.
The shifts run from 8pm to 8am and run from Monday to Sunday. We do however try to give everyone every other weekend off.
