Ranelagh House is a Residential Care Home in Liverpool and is home for 26 elderly residents. We provide both long-term and respite care in a safe and caring environment for our residents.
We have vacancies for night time shifts for caring Night Time Care Assistants to join us at Ranelagh House.
Night Time Shift 9.00pm to 8.00am
As a Care Assistant you will be a responsible member of the ‘care’ team at Ranelagh House taking a full and active part in all aspects of the day to day care of our residents. This will include the provision of person centred care to our residents ensuring their dignity, respect and wellbeing at all times. You will need to show warmth and support to our residents and their families, helping to promote independence and positively enhancing the lives of those entrusted to our care.
Your role will include:
- Ensuring our residents and safe and their health and wellbeing is our first priority.
- Helping residents with mobility problems and other physical disabilities.
- Assisting residents with personal care i.e. helping residents to get washed, showered or bathed and also to get dressed where needed.
- Help serve meals and feed residents who are unable to feed themselves. This may include helping to prepare light meals.
- Dealing with visitors including; family members and health and social care professionals
- Assist in the preparation of daily reports.
Responsibilities and Qualifications:
- You will have a naturally compassionate and caring approach
- You will be an able to communicate effectively with colleagues, residents and visitors
- Previous experience within the adult care sector or a closely related sector is a distinct advantage
- You will have a good standard of written and spoken English
- Medication administration training and experience is an advantage
- The ability to work flexibly is essential.
