About us
The Institute of Our Lady of Mercy strives to be of service to the poor, sick and disadvantaged. We do this through a variety of ministries including education, nursing, providing women’s outreach services, chaplaincies and providing high quality care homes for the elderly. .
The Mercy Care Centre provides residential care for older people and for people living with dementia in a purpose-built facility, alongside a development of 18 apartments providing “extra care housing.” Rated as ‘good’ in all areas at our last CQC inspection.
Recruiting for the following role:
Night Care Assistant (24 hpw)
Please note: This role will be subject to a suitable DBS check, 2 satisfactory references and the right to work in the UK. Unfortunately, the salary for this role does not support sponsorship of overseas workers
With NVQ2 £12.49 p/h (weekday) £16.64 p/h (weekend)

We aim for all staff employed in our Care Homes to be required to have undertaken an Enhanced DBS check (together with an Adult Barred list check where applicable) as they may be called on to undertake regulated activity as part of a ‘whole home’ approach to providing high quality responsive care in accordance with CQC requirements and Government legislation.
All Staff must wear PPE and face masks when on shift and are subject to regular COVID testing to ensure a safe environment for both staff and residents.
