Job description

Receipt and Distribution Operatives are at the heart of the hospital delivery system. Working within the procurement team, they perform a vital role ensuring that the hospital teams have full stocks of crucial materials and equipment. Working within a fast-paced team, you will assist in ordering and storing ward and departmental stocks whilst providing support to customers, clinical and support staff.

We have a 6 month fixed term contract and a permanent contract available.

Main Duties

· Efficient and timely receipt, checking and distribution of goods, complying with procurement procedures

· Use of manual handling equipment to move heavy loads

· General office support, inputting data and processing all returns of goods and equipment

· To use the Purchasing and Finance IT System for online order, distribution and enquiries

· When required to provide cover for other Receipt & Distribution and Materials sites and to assist, when required, in stocktaking arrangements.
