Job description
JOB DESCRIPTION: NEWS REPORTER
FoodBev Media has an exciting opportunity for a News Reporter to join our rapidly expanding team on a permanent basis. We are looking for someone who can ensure the content across our website and other online channels is informative, timely and insightful.
The food and beverage industry is fast-moving and trend-driven, so the ideal candidate will be able to rapidly identify key developments and translate them into high-quality, original copy. They will be expected to make a significant contribution to our daily news output, so flawless written English, editing skills and a investigatory mind are a must-have.
FoodBev Media is an industry-focused B2B media platform dedicated to the dissemination of food and beverage news, trends and insights. Once the successful candidate has settled into the role, there will also be opportunities for them to craft original features across our digital channels, our audio news bulletin series and our print titles: FoodBev (our flagship publication), The Plant-Base (the first industry magazine dedicated to all things plant-based), Refreshment (which provides insight into sectors such as water dispensers, vending and coffee), and (our most recent launch, The Cell Base.
As an international B2B publisher, we regularly attend trade fairs and industry events in Europe and beyond, so there are multiple opportunities for the successful candidate to travel away on business. We have always prided ourselves on the quality of our rich media, and we hope the successful applicant will become a key part of developing this side of our business further as part of our friendly, focused team in the heart of Bath.
Candidates will be asked to complete a short proficiency task if they reach the interview stage.
