Join the British Gas family and become a hero in the energy industry!
Newly Qualified Technical Gas Engineer
We are seeking Newly Qualified Gas Engineers to join us in 2023 and help us continue to enhance our brand reputation and serve our customers.
At British Gas, we're united behind a common purpose - to help our customers today and secure energy for tomorrow. Our gas engineers and technicians are trusted to go into people's homes and workplaces every day, helping them with critical needs and problems such as fixing a broken boiler in the middle of winter.
We can offer you a varied and extremely rewarding work environment where you'll have plenty of opportunities to earn a fantastic salary and develop yourself. Plus, you'll be using your skills to help us shape the future "green" in the energy industry.
We're focused on developing talent and investing in our people. You'll be supported with a learning programme that covers the classroom and out in the field with one of our experienced engineers to gain further technical expertise in boiler servicing and repairs.
We offer a starting salary of £31,320 whilst training, rising to £41,650 once fully accredited, plus uncapped additional earning potential. OTE is uncapped, and if you live or start your day within London, you'll receive an additional allowance of £3,828 to £5,328.
As well as a generous salary, we also offer a host of benefits to suit your lifestyle and support your wellbeing. These include private health cover, 33 days paid holiday (including bank holidays), enhanced sick pay, and excellent company discounts. In addition, we offer a generous pension scheme.
To join us, you must hold current ACS accreditation in CCN1, CEN1, WAT1 (CENWAT), CPA1, as well as a full UK driving licence with six points or less. We also require a minimum of one year's experience of servicing, repairing, or installing boilers.
So, why wait? Join us and we'll pay you to learn, enhance your technical skills with ongoing training and support, and help you develop the future capability needed to continue to deliver relevant solutions for our customers.
It's important that we do the right thing, so we'll carry out financial, criminal record, and reference checks, as well as checking you hold the required qualifications for this role prior to you starting with us.
