Newly Qualified Social Worker

We are seeking to recruit a number of dedicated and committed NQSW's to join our ASYE programme.

Do you want to have a hugely positive impact on adults and their carers in our communities? Your role will involve working with adults aged 18 years and upwards with a wide range of care and support needs, promoting wellbeing and supporting people to achieve the outcomes that are important to them in their life.

About Tower Hamlets – The Best of London in one borough!

Tower Hamlets is one of the UK's most culturally vibrant and diverse areas, with over 300,000 people living at the heart of London's East End.

Our vision is that local communities will be independent, strong and vibrant. We want you to be part of the future that we are creating, and to help us make a difference.

We are proud of our values because they demonstrate how we work and interact with customers, partners and colleagues on a day-to-day basis.

We have five core values, which are central to successfully achieving our vision:

  • Together - We work TOGETHER across boundaries and with partners to achieve the best outcomes for Tower Hamlets
  • Open and honest - We are OPEN and transparent
  • Willing - We are WILLING to challenge, innovate and be accountable
  • Excellence - We empower each other to be EXCELLENT and go the extra mile
  • Respect - We RESPECT all communities, they are the heart of everything we do

ABOUT YOU

As a Newly Qualified Social Worker you will manage a varied caseload, carrying out assessments focussing on the strengths of the person, their families, carers and local communities to promote independence.

We offer quality supervision, peer support and the sharing of learning between others at the same point in their career as you.

Once you have successfully completed your ASYE the support to develop and progress does not stop there. We are passionate about career progression and provide opportunities to develop on an ongoing basis. We offer a three-year career development plan to support your career progression.

Tower Hamlets has a zero-tolerance approach to, and works to eradicate, all forms of discrimination on the basis of race, sex, disability, age, religion or belief, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, marital status, status as a civil partner, gender, gender identity, gender expression, pregnancy and maternity and looks to employ a diverse workforce representative of those groups. We recognise that people can also be disadvantaged by their social and economic circumstances, so we will work to eliminate discrimination and disadvantage caused by social class.

We welcome applicants who live in the borough.
