Newly Qualified / Preceptorship Nurse
Location : Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk
Salary : £30,000 - £38,000 (£15.40 - £19.48 per hour)
Hours : Full Time and Part Time hours available - you can choose depending on your preference
Shifts : Options of Days only or Nights only or Mixed shifts on a rotational basis - you can choose depending on your preference

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Newly Qualified / Preceptorship Nurse (RMN & RNLD) to work within a very positive, friendly, and supportive 12 bed specialist Rehabilitation Service. Designed to support Women who have a diagnosis of Personality Disorder or an Emotionally Unstable Disorder. Young Women who are transitioning from CAMHS will be considered for this service also.
A Therapeutic environment aids recovery for each individual, the layout of the service allows people to be as independent as possible as well as having an environment where they do not feel isolated.
The aim of the service is to enable individuals to work on ways to decrease harmful behaviours and replace them with effective strategies to enhance their lives and help them reach their personal life goals.
Job role:
Working alongside of a dedicated MDT, you will provide specialist person- centred care tailored to meet an individual need. The team consists of a Psychiatrist, Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, Occupational Therapist, Psychologist, and individual Therapists, including Systemic and Integrative.
Working with clinical programmes at focus on rehabilitation both within the hospital and in the community. Therapies and activities are specifically focused on treating individual needs and wants, behaviours which may challenge, harming behaviours to self and others and the skills for moving forwards into the community.
Adapting a least restrictive approach to care, working with all patients to review and identify personal risks, becoming responsible for them and help devise care plans to support these.
Preceptorship Programme:
The service has a strong commitment to provide support for newly qualified nurses. This is via a purpose built, structured and comprehensive preceptorship programme. The programme is completed over a 12-week period where you will be a fully supernumerary nurse.
