Overview

New and exciting opportunity for a creatively driven, talented sales professional who is currently within a New Business or Sales role, ideally within the events / festival / ticketing space or creative agency side, to join a forward-thinking creative-first performance marketing agency based in Manchester, who focus on filling dance floors and events around the world.

The Company is working alongside some of the world’s most well-loved and well known music, festival, destination as well as international brands and are looking for someone with a strong background in sales to join the team.

The Role

As a New Business Executive, your primary responsibility will be to generate outbound leads and contribute to the overall growth of the business. While the role initially does not involve closing deals, we expect the candidate to learn and develop these skills over time. The ideal candidate should possess a creative mindset, think strategically about lead generation, excel in communication and phone skills, and have a strong sales background.

Responsibilities

  • Generate outbound leads and identify new business opportunities through various channels, including email campaigns, networking events, industry research, etc.
  • Work closely with the team to develop creative and effective strategies for lead generation, focusing on a 360 approach.
  • Research and identify specific verticals and target events that align with our agency's services.
  • Conduct confident and effective phone conversations with potential clients, nurturing relationships and taking first-stage calls.
  • Collaborate with the team to contribute to the sales process, providing valuable insights and support throughout.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable track record of success in a sales role, with a strong sales history being the primary requirement.
  • Prior experience in the events industry is a plus but not essential.
  • Ability and willingness to learn the festival side of the business and develop pitching skills over time (approximately 1 year).
  • Proven ability to think creatively and develop innovative approaches to lead generation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with confidence and professionalism on the phone.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work autonomously and be a self-starter when working remotely.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving targets and driving business growth.
  • Flexibility to work between London and Manchester locations, with occasional team meetings and visits to the office.
Location: Remote (The main Head Office location is in Manchester. This role can be based from anywhere in the UK).
Salary: £30,000 - £35000 + OTE of £13,000
  • Base salary range: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum.
  • Realistic OTE (On Target Earnings) in the first year: Additional £13,000.
  • Quarterly bonus of £1,500 for achieving goals.
  • Commission structure: 1.5% on any business converted when Head of New Business is closing, increasing to 3% once the candidate starts closing after approximately one year.
