With that in mind we’re looking for a Network Optimisation Specialist to help us as we do so at our site in Shelton.

Do you have experience in managing a water distribution network and want to play a key part in ensuring our assets work together effectively, promoting a calm network. EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW


In short, our Network Optimisation teams are responsible for ensuring that Severn Trent meets and improves the water supply service our customers experience. This role provides technical expertise to monitor, evaluate and optimise the water distribution system for our customers and is why it’s key you have a customer focused mindset.


When successful in role, you’ll act as the architect of our network ensuring the configuration and controls meet the company standards and are optimised to deliver a quality service and meet our regulatory standards. You’ll perform troubleshooting to system failures and identify resolutions to ensure long term efficiency of network.

Your key accountabilities in helping us will include:

  • Mentoring, coaching and developing the team to maximise knowledge and technical skills to ensure a high consistent standard of deliverables are produced.
  • Directing and prioritising proactive improvement activity on the water network to create a balance of team workload that meets targets.
  • Liaising with all stakeholders looking to understand, improve and/or invest in the network.
  • The development of control group operational strategies that improve network resilience and performance to align with Company ODI’s.
  • Make sure that accurate and quality contingency plans are maintained for strategic and tactical assets to progress preventative and mitigating actions thus ensuring the network provides a continuous supply to our customers.


WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE


The ideal candidate will have experience of data analysis, with analytical skills in assessment of operational data to resolve complex issues. Experience within a water business.
