WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Site Based Contract with a Hybrid Working Pattern

As part of the Network Operations team, you are a central point of engagement within Santander, inclusive of managing, monitoring and 1st/2nd line support of Santander UK’s computer networks to ensure maximum availability and performance.
By managing key events appropriately and efficiently in line with the Service framework, you will be very much involved in ensuring that key SLA’s for Service are being met.
The difference you’ll make.
- Collaborating with all departments from across the Bank and third parties, to ensure we deliver the best Service possible, as Operationally we are the Central Hub and have key relationships with Change and Incident teams.
- Providing inputs within the IT command centre ensuring Controls are adhered to and reviewed.
- Analysing and deliver key service metrics from the tools available as well as 1st & 2nd line fault investigation, escalation and resolution.
- Monitoring and support of Santander’s UK’s Branch, Head Office, Data Centre and Voice Networks while also maintaining network documentation and supplying information to project teams, management & 3rd parties.
- Identifying and Investigating of network faults inclusive of resolution or escalation as appropriate.
- Changing Implementation within the Production environment for key Services inclusive of DNS change, Load Balancer traffic switching.
What you’ll bring.
- Previous Network experience L1/L2 with operational experience of Voice networks & related technologies (Cisco / Avaya)and basic Incident management experience.
- CCNA or equivalent in Routing & Switching with proven experience troubleshooting F5 Big IQ, LTM, GTM. Confidence with DNS & DHCP appliances.
- Logical network diagnostic approach to faults and problems. Understanding of complex architectures and topologies
- SevOne and IBM Netcool hands on experience
- Strong Communication skills and ability to work well as part of a close-knit team while also being able to report on critical network compliance and availability.
- Understanding of SOC operations and experience engaging operational functions: Cyber Threat Intelligence, Vulnerability Management, Purple Teaming, and Networks.
It would also be nice for you to have.
- ServiceNow knowledge and use.
- Previous Banking experience.
- Agile Fundamentals - including understand of IaaS, PaaS, microservices, docker and continuous deployment lifecycle. ALM.
- Cloud Computing understanding (AWS)
