Summary
An opportunity has arisen for a Highway Engineer to join the Wiltshire Council Local Highways Team on a permanent contract.

About the role
Your duties will be varied ranging from providing expert technical and legal advice to developing new policies, service level agreements, and procedures. You will also be responsible for instructing the works and monitoring the performance of the Highways Term Maintenance Contractor.
You will support and supervise the highway technicians on a day-to-day basis in the provision of local highways services within your given community areas, as part of the wider highways team based in the north of the county.
About you
Ideally, you will have experience in a highways service and knowledge of the associated Acts and Codes of Practice, together with an HNC/HND in civil engineering, and excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
In return, you will have the opportunity to develop your knowledge in the highways sector in a fast-developing and changing service.
Interviews will be held the week commencing 07 August 2023.
