This role has a direct impact on:
  • EE/BT current & future Network Performance, Network Efficiency & Subscriber’s Experience (inc Emergency Services Network).
  • Ability to maintain & strengthen EE/BT position as #1 UK mobile network and push for global top ten network.
  • Positive/Negative perception/PR of Network performance/customer experience.
  • influencing our internal/external stakeholders and suppliers to deliver the Best Network objectives.
What you’ll be doing
The role purpose is to drive improvement in Radio Coverage & Performance through effective performance management and localized network optimisation. Main accountabilities for the role include:


  • own and drive improvement in all factors impacting Radio Coverage & Performance with the goal of providing optimal Customer Experience for our subscribers.
  • Use multiple inputs from RAN Performance/Capacity data, Coverage data, Customer complaints & drive surveys amongst others to form plans for improvements across your geographic area.
  • lead a highly skilled team of specialists to ensure the team/company objectives are continually delivered.
  • driving improvement in Customer Experience and Network Performance whilst leveraging opportunities for capex/opex reduction across your geographical area of responsibility.
  • Build effective relationships with peers & stakeholders to ensure the tooling, processes, kpi’s and insights are fit for purpose driving more automation where possible.
  • Contributing into budget planning and business cases as requested by Senior Management & Programmes.

You'll have the following skills and experience

Skills
  • Team Management: Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to drive and motivate your team to deliver results.
  • Story-telling with data: strong skills in building the case for improvement plans, drawing on data and analytical techniques where appropriate, and communicating this to business audiences
  • Continuous Improvement: identifying the right KPIs/data to confirm ongoing Radio/customer improvement. Continually searching for improvement opportunities for our network and our customers.

Experience


Mandatory experience required for this role includes:
  • Extensive Mobile Network RAN optimization/planning and/or RAN Performance knowledge.
  • Adept at making decisions in ambiguous situations using incomplete information or differing opinions (eg divided team loyalties or unclear deliverables).
  • Demonstrates ability to drive actions from insights, align project plans and objectives with strategy and values.
Preferred experience:
  • Knowledge of building business cases and developing and delivering RFP’s.
  • Proven experience of people management.
