Network Maintenance Craftsperson – Instrumentation
Starting salary from £40,414 rising to £47,496 once fully competent
Bonus + Incentives + Overtime + Standby + Van
Permanent role
Locations across Yorkshire including Hull, Leeds and Bradford
We have an exciting opportunity to join us in our network maintenance team. The department has recently merged with our Capital projects team, opening the path to lots of opportunity to develop further skills and work cross-functionally.
As our new Network Maintenance Craftsperson, you will be focusing on maintaining and calibrating instrument systems on a variety of gas sites owned & operated by NGN. The systems range from simple transmitter loops to fiscal metering systems.
This will a mobile role and can be based in Yorkshire including Hull, Leeds and Bradford.
- Standby 365 days a year on a rota basis ideally 1 in 4
- Variable work patterns (when required) and lone working out of hours
- You will maintain and calibrate instrumentation systems as well as fault finding
- There will be the repair and replacement of components, fittings, and fixtures
- You will be expected to complete paperwork/systems for results and readings
- Commissioning of equipment
- Using IT in the field for work reporting
- Gas Quality work (development required for all)
- Instrumentation Apprenticeship (City & Guilds) & NVQ
- Logical thinker, with excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Proactive attitude and a strong team player whilst also having the ability to work on their own initiative
- Knowledge of codes of practice, engineering instructions and safety requirements
- Full UK driving licence
- EUSR Gas passport
- COMPEX EX 01,02,03,04
- SCO 1, 2 and 4
- Experience on gas distribution systems
- EL6 sign off (Restricted Authorised Person)
- TIM 2,3,4
- HNC Level (Instrumentation)
- Starting salary from £40,414 rising to £47,496 when fully competent plus van and overtime
- 41.25 hours per week
- Bonus (dependent upon achievement of set targets)
- 25 days annual leave (plus recognised bank holidays and 2 half days over the Christmas period)
