Network Engineer (support & projects)
Location – Fully Remote
Salary – up to £47,000 per annum

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Network Engineer to join a Managed Services Provider near Birmingham.
This position has arisen due to internal growth and an increase in demand with project related work. The main responsibilities within the role will be working within the Networking team, where you will be dealing with network maintenance, monitoring, project work and assisting with elements of consultancy.
Responsibilities within the position will include;
- Maintaining and administering networks and related computing environments. Including firewalls and network security.
- Configuration & deployment of enterprise networking solutions.
- Monitoring network performance to determine if adjustments need to be made.
- Low level networking design, according to customer requirements.
- Cloud and hybrid network infrastructure deployment and maintenance (Azure and/or AWS).
- To liaise with 3rd party vendors to resolve performance and reliability issues, including root cause/permanent fix.
- To help drive the Product Roadmap for new solutions, services, or products.
Experience required:
- Previous hands-on implementation and high-level support of solutions and projects across;
- Enterprise Networking - Switching & Routing (ideally with HPE e.g. Aruba, Comware and Procurve skills.)
- Firewalls ( Checkpoint would be preferred) and other Network Security technologies
- Cloud and hybrid network infrastructure experience (Azure and/or AWS).
- Network management and monitoring for both enterprise and cloud deployments.
- Familiarity with virtualization platforms would be a bonus
- Applicable certifications would be beneficial
Package details:
- Monday – Friday, day work – optional on-call
- Fully remote OR hybrid working set up (Birmingham offices)
- £40,000 - £47,000 per annum (DOE)
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
