Network Support Engineer

Reporting into the Network Support Manager, you will work as part of a dedicated engineering team providing technical solution support for the customer network.
What you’ll do:
- You will deliver Level 2 technical support; share and communicate between Technical Support team, Service Center and customer.
- Conduct network performance analysis in order to assess the impact of a problem and to solve customer service-related issues.
- Assist in providing Proactive Maintenance by monitoring and anticipating network performance with the result of avoiding issues/outages in the customer network.
- Manage the timely delivery Manage preparation and execution of service migration MOPs, network upgrades and retrofits of quality Software increments.
- Highlighting anomalies with respect to products and their operational configurations, in order to avoid known issues in the customer network which may have potential operation impact.
Who you are:
We are looking for an experienced Juniper Network Engineer with JNICIA certification and proven experience in the support of Juniper routers, switches, virtual chassis and firewall equipment in a live network.
You must be able to demonstrate sound technical understanding of Network Routing Protocols - OSPF, BGP, ISIS, MPLS.
Key requirements:
- Experience in a Telecommunication/ IT Support environment for a carrier class network
- Experience in a customer facing role
- Experience in participating in an out of hours on-call rota
- Ability to develop logical and innovative solutions to complex problems.
