Your purpose:
Working as an integral part of a dedicated team of highly skilled Network team, supporting Global, multiple locations, working closely to support Corporate, Retail and Supply Chain services and deliver some localised projects. Responsible for the optimisation, design and continual improvement network infrastructure. Actively manage the day-to-day services aligned to appropriate service level agreements, including Specsavers internal support teams and 3rd party suppliers This role assures Network availability aligns with integration with existing Service operating models.
Reporting directly to the Network Technology Supervisor for the running of the Network Operations to maintain network availability is maintained (24×7). Operating alongside Infrastructure, design and delivery teams, responsible for the running and continuity of the Network across Corporate, Supply chain and Retail. As such, a requirement to demonstrate strong customer relations and stakeholder management
Your role
Review technology standards documents
Monitoring network health and responds to event alarms. Understands the business impact of these alarms.
Understanding of security compliance, concepts, and solutions, e.g., anti-virus, firewalls, etc
Manage and update technical documentation. Ensure regular review to comply with required standards.
What you’ll bring
Understanding and practical knowledge of TCP/IP, Switching and Routing, Next Gen Firewalls, Load Balancers, Web Proxies, Wireless Networking, VPN Appliances.
Understanding of core IT Technologies (DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF).
Ability to troubleshoot complex networking environments across multiple sites across the globe.
Previous history of working in network operations.
IT Professional certifications such as CCNP, ECMS or PCNSA.
