Must be FTE/FTC, SC ClearABLE (may be put them through SC so they must meet the requirements).
Project to consolidate across the client estate to Palo Alto. We have a DevOps Engineer already, so the main focus must be the Palo Alto skillsets and the understanding of migrating and consolidating Firewall rules.
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive assessment and discovery of existing Firewall infrastructure, including rule sets, policies, and network architecture (currently a mix of Palo Alto, Fortinet, Barracuda, and Azure Firewalls).
- Configure and deploy Palo Alto Networks firewalls in the Azure environment, adhering to best practices and security guidelines, utilising IaC.
- Migrate existing Firewall rules and policies (from Palo Alto, Fortinet, Barracuda, and Azure FiRewalls) to the new Palo Alto Networks infrastructure, reviewing and optimising them as necessary.
- Monitor and troubleshoot Firewall configurations and network traffic to identify and mitigate any security vulnerabilities or performance issues
- Utilise advanced PowerShell and CLI Scripting for automation and orchestration of infrastructure and deployment processes.
- Manage and troubleshoot DNS, routing, and asymmetric route issues.
- Implement and manage vWan connectivity for secure and efficient communication between various environments.
- Ensure the security and integrity of our platform by working with Barracuda WAF, Load Balancers, NAT Gateways, and other security technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve performance issues, bottlenecks, and other system-related problems.
- Collaborate with nontechnical stakeholders to discuss and explain technical solutions in a clear and concise manner.
- Document system designs, configurations, and processes to ensure knowledge transfer and maintain system documentation (including HLD and LLD)
- Adhere to Agile and Scrum methodologies, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Utilise project management skills to ensure successful delivery of infrastructure projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
Strong expertise in Palo Alto Networks firewalls, including design, configuration, and administration.
- Strong knowledge of network security concepts, protocols, and technologies, including IPsec, SSL/TLS, VPN, NAT, IDS/IPS, URL filtering, application control, threat prevention, and intrusion detection systems.
In-depth knowledge of Azure networking concepts, including virtual networks, subnets, network security groups (NSGs), and Azure Firewall.
Understanding of IaC technology, specifically ARM templates.
Strong understanding of Azure services IaaS and PaaS offerings such as App Services, App Gateways, API management, Service Fabric, and Kubernetes.
Proficiency in advanced PowerShell and CLI Scripting for automation and infrastructure management.
Solid knowledge of DNS, routing, and network troubleshooting
Strong knowledge of Azure Policy and CAF framework
Strong knowledge of Domain Controllers, ADFS, Identity management
Experience with vWan, express route,Barracuda WAF, Load Balancers, and NAT Gateway.
Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to discuss technical solutions with
nontechnical stakeholders.
Strong troubleshooting skills.
Create implementation and rollback strategies
Security architecture and awareness, with knowledge of best practices for securing cloud-based platforms.
Understanding of Disaster Recovery strategies and solutions'service Now Tool

HYBRID: 1 day/month in Coventry, the rest remote
