The Network Administrator is responsible for installing, maintaining, securing, researching, and developing hardware and software for network communications in alignment with the Global Architecture standards of MCC. The role will perform root cause analysis of any problem and proactively work to prevent issues in the future. This role will be required to effectively communicate impact, risk, and resolution to IT and business stakeholders in both verbal and written form.
- Understand and know the Global and Regional infrastructure and architecture standards for MCC and participate in developing a gap analysis and improvement plan.
- Maintain computer networks, systems, and hardware which includes but is not limited to firewalls, routers, switches, servers, telephones, cabling, VMWare, workstations, and any other hardware or software associated with supporting the architecture.
- Oversee and document any network modifications and utilize management of change (MOC) process.
- Serve as 2nd tier technical support for the service desk as required which can include educating and training IT and non-IT personnel on administration and use.
- Resolve networking problems, and, when necessary, collaborate with external technology providers to escalate the issue and track the issue through resolution.
- Adhere to all company standards, policies, and procedures regarding customer care and safety.
- Promote the organization’s corporate mission, vision, and values in carrying out their work description.
- Carry out additional and related duties that may be assigned by supervisor or management.
SPECIAL FEATURES:
- This role will require collaboration with regional and global teams and understanding of how to transition cost effectively to a global infrastructure standard.
- Knowledge of the sites, business and IT personnel, and systems will be required in order to be successful.
- Flexibility to be called upon outside business hours in a business continuity or cybersecurity event.
- 5-10 years of proven experience as an IT Engineer, Network Engineer, or Systems Administrator.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity and data privacy principles.
- Demonstrated technical understanding of computer systems, peripherals, mobile devices, and telephony.
- Understanding of Active Directory, Windows operating systems, and a basic knowledge of local area networking.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to discuss various forms of technology with end users.
- Associates Degree or better in relevant field is preferred.
- Relevant certifications, such as CCNA and Network + are desired.
The salary range for this position is $73k - $100,400. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
