Job description
The Project Manager will be responsible for the coordination and logistics around the development of projects forming part of Simcyp platform of software products.
Qualified candidates will have experience working with development teams, test teams and product owners and have an appreciation of the software development lifecycle and of the processes involved in software development. You will be working with a development / test team of 30+ people and science team (product owners) of 80+.
Ideal candidates will have a degree level qualification and a number of years experience in Software project co-ordination/management
Responsibilities:- Develop, maintain and monitor project plans and project schedules and communicate these to management
- Document progress and holdups/deviations with detail on a weekly basis
- In close collaboration with the software and science team leads, coordinate the work of all developers and scientists ensuring delays are minimised
- Identify and highlight project risks and communicate them to management
- Assist in the development of appropriate metrics to measure progress
- Have high attention to detail, strong organizational skills and a flexible approach to work
- Liaise with relevant areas and groups (developers, scientists, testers, QA staff) within the company and the group as required
- Where applicable, ensure that company and client-related documentation is issued (internally and externally) accurately and on time
- Identify and implement process improvements to ensure more effective program execution
- Degree level, or equivalent, in a relevant discipline
- Experience with full product lifecycle with understanding of development lifecycle and various technology methodologies that support that lifecycle
- Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, SharePoint and preferably experience with Azure DevOps and PowerBI
- Ability to clearly communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to gather project user requirements within a user environment
