.NET Developer
Salary: Up to £45,000 depending on experience | Hybrid Working
The Renishaw Business Systems Applications team are responsible for the delivery and support of the group’s commercial IT systems. We are seeking an enthusiastic C# .NET developer to join our dynamic development team.
You will be working on both greenfield and legacy projects using cutting edge solutions that extend existing applications and reconcile data across systems. You will design integrations with 3rd party applications and become a subject matter expert.
You will have at least 2 years’ commercial experience of developing, implementing, and supporting bespoke C# .NET solutions. You will need the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work well under pressure in a fast-paced hybrid environment. Our company's culture is informal and flexible
Responsibilities
- Develop new and enhance existing .NET applications
- Liaise with UK and overseas stakeholders to understand requirements
- Diagnose and fix bugs
- Write design documentation
- Keep abreast of current technologies and working practices
Key requirements
- Strong C# and ASP.NET skills
- Solid understanding of Web Services/APIs
- SQL database design and management experience
- Front-end web and UI development (HTML, CSS & JS, etc.)
- Detailed understanding of software development methodologies and object-oriented development principles, including change management and version control
Desirable requirements
- Experience using MVC
- Understanding of Azure DevOps
- Qualified to degree level
Person specification
You will have an analytical mind, with strong attention to detail and desire to probe further into understanding requirements or establishing a root cause. You will need ability to communicate complex procedures to other colleagues and stakeholders and will have strong commercial and business awareness.
