We have opportunities for reliable, enthusiastic, patient centred and caring individuals to join our neonatal assistant team !
The desired candidate must have good communication skills, be able to demonstrate enthusiasm and have a caring and compassionate nature.
- To assist in the provision of the Liverpool Neonatal Partnership and contribute to the effective running of the neonatal units at LWH and AHCH
- To provide support to the professional staff by ensuring that the clinical environment is clean, organised and adequately stocked
- Responsible for the cleaning and storing of equipment
- To undertake reception / clerical duties as required
- To be an effective member of the neonatal team and contribute to the best possible use of resources
- Rotation within the Liverpool Neonatal Partnership

Key Responsibilities:
- To maintain adequate stock levels in the clinical areas within the identifying any shortfall Liverpool Neonatal Partnership to the unit managers
- To ensure that stock is rotated as required
- To clean clinical equipment in accordance with the Trust Infection Control policy and report any faults or service needs to Electrical Biomedical Engineers or the Unit Managers.
- To maintain adequate levels of clean baby linen and clothes
- To ensure that all Resuscitaires and procedure trolleys are cleaned and stocked as required
- To maintain clean and organised storage areas / pharmacy room
- To ensure the safe disposal of all glass bottles in accordance with the Trust Health and Safety policy
- To monitor the temperature of all fridges / freezers and report any problems to unit manager / shift leader – defrost and clean as per schedule
- To assist in maintaining the cleanliness of staff sitting area
- To ensure that the parental accommodation is maintained to the agreed standard
- Answer telephone / intercom in a polite and courteous manner and deal appropriately with enquiries appropriately referring to the correct personnel
- Record any telephone laboratory results and ensure they are referred to the appropriate staff
- Maintain stationary supplies in the different areas of the unit, photocopy and replenish as required
- Input admission / discharge / transfer data into the computerised system
- Organise and file documentation and / or laboratory results in patients notes
