PURPOSE
To provide world class physical preparation support to England Women’s Cricket. This role will require extensive UK based travel to ensure effective working relationships with key stakeholders. The nature of the role necessitates working irregular hours.

YOU’LL LOVE THIS JOB IF
You have a passion for ensuring the delivery of high quality physical preparation to elite female athletes.
You have a strong interest in leadership and love working with a wide variety of stakeholders.
You enjoy being adaptable and having a varied work programme including overseas travel.
YOU’LL BE DOING
Lead the overarching strategy for player physical preparation and ensure industry leading provision across all England Women’s cricket.
Drive and promote high levels of physical preparation across Women’s professional cricket
Contribute to S&C delivery across the pathway including covering England Teams tours which could involve overseas travel
Lead, drive and implement specific projects and initiatives relevant to physical preparation in collaboration with the Head of Science and Medicine.
Working collaboratively with the women’s professional domestic game to drive development of high-quality S&C provision, including the development of the physical preparation arm of the regional women’s science and medicine review.
Lead and ensure targeted CPD for S&C coaches across women’s professional cricket
Ensure high levels of collaboration with the women’s professional domestic structure Sin relation to player support.
Lead and implement an effective strategy for workload planning and management across the England Pathway including the implementation of industry leading technology.
To line manage and lead other staff as agreed with the Head of Science and Medicine, across the England Women’s Pathway and ensure their personal and professional development.
To contribute to high quality player rehabilitation in conjunction with the medical team.
Work closely with the science and medicine team to ensure effective management of England contracted players competing in franchise competitions.
To foster a culture of working within the S&C team that is inclusive, joined up and encourages high levels of effective team working and communication.
YOU’LL HAVE
Current UKSCA accreditation.
Graduate qualification in Sports Science and/or strength and conditioning.
Extensive experience of working in professional team sport including a comprehensive understanding of cricket physical preparation and workload management.
Experience in leading and managing in a dynamic and high pressure environment.
A track record of excellent team working attributes including high levels of communication.
Significant understanding of the demands of elite professional cricketers.
High-quality coaching and programming skills.
Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
Full Driver’s license.
