The National IT department within Aldi has an exciting vacancy for a confident and professional IT expert to join as a Senior Executive IT Support Assistant. You will be a whiz on all things iPhone and iPad, and have a great understanding of Windows devices, video conferencing and general device connectivity.
A critical aspect of this role will be to support our Senior Leaders to rapidly overcome any IT issues by using your own initiative and breadth of knowledge along with the ability to collaborate with experience subject matter experts in the department. You will be able to advise on efficient ways of working by tapping into the detail of iOS functionality, Applications and Microsoft 365. Your strengths will lie in - taking responsibility, excellent communication skills, reliability and providing practical IT solutions.

Your New Role
- Provide first-class IT support to our company’s Senior Executives
- Ensure a seamless IT provision for your user base
- Build and handover IT devices. (iOS, Windows) to users who have different IT requirements
- Supporting the setup of Video Conferencing equipment to assist business users in their meetings
- Identify and escalate persisting IT issues to the Team Leader and internal escalation points
- Maintain an understanding of the user requirements and open issues for area of responsibilities
- Ordering goods and processing their respective invoices whilst maintaining information in an asset management system
- Lead and deliver IT projects with minimal margin for error
- Liaise with third party stakeholders and external suppliers (Audio Visual, Video Conference, Hotels etc.)
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge bank of existing technology to advise to Managing Directors when asked
About You
- GSCE’s in Maths, Science and English or equivalent qualifications
- Extensive prior IT support experience required with good working knowledge and troubleshooting capability across a variety of end-user solutions, including; Microsoft 365, Video Conferencing equipment, Windows 10 / 11, Basic networking, Installing and maintaining general PC/Laptop hardware, Printer hardware and IOS / Android devices
- Strong technical proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and initial network troubleshooting, with a solid understanding of computer systems, operating systems, and software applications
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and support senior executives with diverse technical backgrounds
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and provide solutions to complex IT challenges in line with IT policy
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Professional and charismatic demeanour with a high level of confidence and assertiveness
- Ability to stay calm and logical under pressure
- Be able to work independently or as part of a team
- You must have a full valid UK driving licence
