Job description
The Clinical Policy Team under the leadership of the Medical Director for Specialised Services supports NHS England’s Clinical Reference Groups to develop and publish national clinical commissioning policies. Clinical policy production is a core part of commissioning specialised services. It is essential in driving equitable, evidence based, and cost effective care for patients within proactively planned services.
As part of this process, the Specialised Commissioning team in NHS England needs to ensure that the interventions that we are commissioning do not cause harm to patients, have maximum outcomes, exploit innovation, ensure efficient use of health professionals time and achieve value for money.
The reason for your fixed term contract is: short term vacancy.
As the Clinical Policy Fellow, the post holder will be responsible for the development of national clinical commissioning policies and policy statements. In addition, you will organise Expert Working Groups, including minute taking, as well as managing projects.
Please note that the reason for the fixed term of your contract is we have a 1 year turn around of staff in the Clinical Policy team.
