Purpose & Scope of the Role

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with a portfolio of major customers
  • Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements
  • Expand relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions to meet their objectives and requirements
  • Serve as the main communication link between key customers / prospects and internal teams
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant brand guidelines, SLA’s and KPI’s
  • Play an integral part in generating new sales that will result in long lasting relationships
  • Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders
  • Spread coffee culture and passion

Main Responsibilities of a National Account Manager

  • Set and monitor sales targets for all national accounts along with regional account managers / area sales managers
  • Network with key customers to identify and address specific needs
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers to ensure long-term success
  • Act as the liaison between customers and internal teams ensuring clients’ requirements are met
  • Identify and attract prospective strategic customers
  • Ensure brand consistency
  • Negotiate contracts working both internally and externally
  • Collect and analyse sales data and trends
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings, according to company standards
  • Liaise with Sales and Marketing departments at Group Level to set and implement strategies for new products
  • Stay up to date with internal and external developments and suggest new ways to increase sales
  • Ensure regular planned meetings are organised linking in all relevant stake holders within each department of our business
  • Complete management of P&L for each account to be presented internally monthly
  • Management of Sales Planning by sector
  • Management of External Marketing company

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Ability to establish and develop sales opportunities within key accounts and new business
  • Commercially minded with a firm grasp on foodservice operations
  • Analytical approach to decision making
  • Desire to deliver a proactive method of account management
  • Enhance corporate relationships to assist in the objective of retaining existing customer and growing new business
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to self-direct when necessary
  • Ability to work within different groups
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools & Social Media
  • Infectious love of coffee

The applicant will be highly driven and motivated with a can-do attitude and have experience of delivering high levels of customer service as well as being able to build strong relationships both internally and externally.

This role will involve a high level of National travel, so it will suit someone who likes being out and about!
