National Account Manager

Purpose & Scope of the Role
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with a portfolio of major customers
- Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements
- Expand relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions to meet their objectives and requirements
- Serve as the main communication link between key customers / prospects and internal teams
- Ensure adherence to all relevant brand guidelines, SLA’s and KPI’s
- Play an integral part in generating new sales that will result in long lasting relationships
- Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders
- Spread coffee culture and passion
Main Responsibilities of a National Account Manager
- Set and monitor sales targets for all national accounts along with regional account managers / area sales managers
- Network with key customers to identify and address specific needs
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers to ensure long-term success
- Act as the liaison between customers and internal teams ensuring clients’ requirements are met
- Identify and attract prospective strategic customers
- Ensure brand consistency
- Negotiate contracts working both internally and externally
- Collect and analyse sales data and trends
- Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings, according to company standards
- Liaise with Sales and Marketing departments at Group Level to set and implement strategies for new products
- Stay up to date with internal and external developments and suggest new ways to increase sales
- Ensure regular planned meetings are organised linking in all relevant stake holders within each department of our business
- Complete management of P&L for each account to be presented internally monthly
- Management of Sales Planning by sector
- Management of External Marketing company
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Ability to establish and develop sales opportunities within key accounts and new business
- Commercially minded with a firm grasp on foodservice operations
- Analytical approach to decision making
- Desire to deliver a proactive method of account management
- Enhance corporate relationships to assist in the objective of retaining existing customer and growing new business
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Excellent time management skills and ability to self-direct when necessary
- Ability to work within different groups
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools & Social Media
- Infectious love of coffee
The applicant will be highly driven and motivated with a can-do attitude and have experience of delivering high levels of customer service as well as being able to build strong relationships both internally and externally.
This role will involve a high level of National travel, so it will suit someone who likes being out and about!
