National Account Manager who has experience managing business client accounts at a national level and developing senior client relationships is required for a well-established company.
SALARY: up to £60,000 per annum + Company Car or Car Allowance
LOCATION: Remote. Remote. This is a field-based role and you will need to be happy to travel nationally when required.

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a National Account Manager who has experience managing business client accounts at a national level and developing senior client relationships.
Working as the National Account Manager you will lead the management of specified UK accounts within the industry channel and develop product category strategies for each customer.
As the National Account Manager you will effectively manage and achieve sales growth across the customer base, maximise all potential opportunities for new product listings and capturing competitor business, define and action effective account development plans that deliver sustainable growth by efficient category management and ensure the company is recognised as a market leading supplier, and is established as the preferred supplier to your customer base.

DUTIES
Your duties as a National Account Manager include:
Manage performance of account margin and have a clear forward plan on improvement
Provide accurate forecasting on a weekly basis
Work across stakeholders to ensure timely range reviews and customer range requirements achieved
Have full responsibility for pricing and margin performance of each account
Driving Account service levels to 98%
Design and implement account development plans & promotional programmes
Negotiate range pricing and promotional deals for your Accounts in conjunction with the Sales Leader
Maintain high levels of awareness of market and competitor activity, customer trends and provide updates internally with this detail
Maintain a database of account information containing product range, pricing & margins
Monitor internal procedures to provide best possible customer service to your Accounts and customers via the Customer Service and Aftersales team
Be involved and support the marketing & customer service functions, aligning commercial activities and plans
Execute price increases / hold price where necessary while maintaining /growing volume
Continually develop in depth technical knowledge of product and marketplace
Gain maximum account penetration and distribution of new products
Build and lever horizontal & vertical customer relationships
The role involves national travel on a weekly basis with expectations of being away overnight on occasions
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Experience managing at a national account level and handling senior account relationships
Intelligent thinker, strategic planner, focussed and priority driven
Excellent personal negotiation / selling skills
Strong motivation to achieve, well organised and structured approach
Excellent presentation, negotiation and selling skills – promotes and sells persuasively
P.C Literate in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Effective communicator both internal and external
Analytical
Sound understanding of product cost, price and associated %margins and ability to analyse product categories to determine overall weighted margins driven by volumes and the ability to make sound commercial recommendations based on this analysis
Ability to think strategically
An understanding of marketing principles and an ability to understand and interpret market analysis
