*If you would like other duties; we offer many that you could help with along with clients of all ages!Basic Duties for Our NanniesCreate a welcoming and nurturing home environment for the children (care will be in the children's home and community)Organize structure activities that match the development of the childrenBe able to meet the children where they are and expand on their interestsManage time in a manner that does not leave uncompleted tasks for the parents to finish when you leaveBalance tasks in a way that both the children and home are cared forTechnical Dutiesi) Basic homemaker services to include: routine sweeping, mopping, laundry or cleaning.ii) Habilitation services shall include direct training and instruction to the client in performing different developmental tasks, including playing, socializing, educational, and chores which may include some hands-on assistance by actually performing a task for the client or enhanced prompting and cueing.iii) The provider shall be physically present to provide step-by-step verbal or physical instructions throughout the entire taskiv) Supported community connections services are provided to support the abilities and skills necessary to enable the client to access typical activities and functions of community life, such as those chosen by the general population, including community education or training, retirement and volunteer activities. Supported community connections services:Support the abilities and skills necessary to enable the client to access typical activities and functions of community life such as those chosen by the general population within a variety of settings.These types of services may include socialization, adaptive skills and personnel to accompany and support the client in community settings,Utilize the community as a learning environment to assist the client to build relationships and natural supports in the client’s residential community. Are conducted in a variety of settings in which the client interacts with persons without disabilities other than those individuals who are providing services to the client.Provide resources necessary for participation in activities and supplies related to skill acquisition, retention or improvementv) Sometimes extraordinary assistance with activities of daily living to include help with eating, bathing, bath-rooming, cleaning, medication, g-tubes or sanitizing due to the client’s disability.Our Day to Day: Example of a Work Day My day starts off in Denver to help Sara before she goes to school; we get dressed, do her make up (she's 15) and pack her lunch. 90 Minute sessionI take a mid-day break which is long enough for me to go home and take my dogs for a walk as this is what I needed as part of my flexible schedule.I pick Susie up from school early so that we may practice her occupational therapy home program prior to her mum coming home. 2 Hour sessionI finish my day by meeting two siblings, Sam and Megan, at their home after school where I give them their after school medication, snacks, and then we do bath time followed by playtime. 4 Hour sessionA Sneak Peek; meet one of our clients!From Angel: Hi, I'm Angel! I have autism. I am one of your maybe clients; if you like having fun, are nice, and hard working. Please come and interview with me or one of my friends. We need your help.Some of the things I need help with!Eating; I love love love good food; I need reminders to wait till its finished cooking before I eat it I get so excited. Sushi is a favorite and I HATE spaghetti noodles!Dressing and Lady Things; Help me with bath-rooming, bathing, and dressing up cute and I like doing facials, massage, and makeup.Going Out; let's go!!!! Book stores, restaurants, museums, parks, ice skating. Going out is fun.
