Ideal personality of Nanny: This two-parent working household requires a timely, dependable professional who loves working with babies and toddlers. Parents describe themselves as down to earth, busy professionals who are very engaged with their childrens’ wellbeing. Mom works remotely, and Dad alternates between remote and in-office.

You are a good communicator, and happy to keep the parents informed throughout the day (via text, photos, and through in person communication). You are a child-focused caregiver who understands what it means to follow the lead of the children in your care, and are excited to come up with crafts and activities that parallel with the childrens’ interests (ex: if the oldest loves cows, you plan a trip to a local farm, or do a coloring craft with cow pictures, etc). You are happy to sing, read, and speak with the children throughout the day (ex: You are outside on a walk, and talk about the color of the sky and the birds you see; you are in the kitchen preparing lunch and you show them the fruits/veggies you will serve, and describe them/let the children explore them). You are caring, and genuinely excited to spend your day in an extremely child-focused way.

You use discretion regarding personal phone use during working hours beyond communication with parents, and are very present in the moment with the children in your care.
