Job description
We are looking for a dynamic, ambitious and energetic Music Teacher who can motivate and inspire pupils across Primary and Secondary, to join our forward-thinking Creative Arts Faculty. As well as a good track record of excellent classroom practice, a commitment to high standards of learning and student progress, you will need initiative, independence and vision to build on current progress and projects.
This is a permanent contract from 1st September 2023 with a substantive FTE of 0.5. For 23/24 the FTE will be higher than 0.5 and this will be discussed at interview once timetables are completed. This role will incorporate music at Penryn College and in local primary schools.
The Music department sits alongside Art, Dance, Drama and Textiles in the Creative Arts faculty, within the department there is a Head of Music, Head of Dance/Drama, and a Head of Art/Textiles all under the leadership of the Head of Creative Arts. There are currently three teachers of Music, one teacher of Dance/Drama, once teacher of Drama, one of Media/Drama/STEAM and three teachers of Art/Textiles.
