About the Job
Joining our Copyright and Licensing team in London, you will coordinate workflows across multiple teams, assisting the Copyright Manager to ensure global publishing royalties can be delivered to our clients in an accurate and timely manner on a semi-annual basis.
Day to day, you’ll lead operational reporting and analysis to execute copyright registrations, meta-data claiming at the local performance societies and matching of ISRC and ISWC codes. Additionally, you will work with UK – based supervisors to pitch the catalog for productions and adverts locally produced. You will maintain the DISCO library and help produce marketing materials and catalog announcements.
The ideal candidate is someone who can remain optimistic and persistent when working to document, revise, track and develop existing processes. You will also need a high level of confidence in your decision making as you're faced with new process requests and amending existing procedures to keep up to date with changes to incoming reports and industry standards.
- Departmental Support – organisational functions and responsibilities to support the Copyright and Licensing departments
- Marketing – preparing and delivering marketing materials for the UK sync team for the purpose of mailouts, events and presentations
- Contacts/Event Management – help to maintain the department’s vital list of client contact information for digital music distribution
- Reports – using internal pitching and analytical platforms to assist with trend analysis and the completion of scheduled reports
- Licensing Support – tracking active projects and ensuring all licensing resources are up to date
- Pitching – assisting and preparing client pitches, and researching into new productions
- Registrations – maintain relationships with local societies registering new and dormant copyrights
- Meta-data management – handle large volumes of data ingestion mapping ISRC and ISWC codes
- File Maintenance and Record Keeping
Outline of Specific Functions:
Marketing
- Creation and mailing of departmental and artist/songwriter updates through Mailchimp, including project highlights, events, awards and new releases
- Contributing and strategising new ideas in which to market the Company and our artists/songwriters to clients
- Maintain sync department social media and other accounts
Reports
- Liaising with the licensing department to collate scheduled reports on quoted and confirmed
- Using DISCO to analyse department pitching efforts
- Analysis of impact of sync placements
- Analysis of current trends in the music industry and other industries serviced by the sync department
- Creating weekly sync highlight reports
Licensing Support
- Tracking and monitoring active projects
- Tracking airdates of all placements and communicating with artists/labels
- Ensuring the registration of copyrights at relevant Performance Rights Organisations (PROs)
Pitching
- Assisting and preparing client pitches
- Research into new productions
- Uploading and organising recordings in DISCO
General
- Work cooperatively with the other employees at the Company as well as outside companies
- Anticipate the needs and unspecified tasks that may be needed to enhance the work by the Senior Director and the Company
- Creative assistance in licensing projects
