We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced individual to join our team as a Bookkeeping and Maintenance Coordinator.
Job Description: As a Bookkeeping and Maintenance Coordinator, you will play a vital role in the smooth operation of our property management and real estate brokerage activities. Your responsibilities will primarily revolve around bookkeeping and accounting work, as well as coordinating maintenance and repair requests from tenants. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting, possess reliable transportation, and be available to work from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review maintenance and repair tickets received overnight and assess if troubleshooting can be done with the tenant.
- Coordinate with property managers to gather instructions and potential troubleshooting ideas.
- Confirm troubleshooting options with tenants and obtain their feedback.
- Contact vendors to obtain rough cost estimates for repairs.
- Seek owner approval for repairs and schedule repair appointments with tenants.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date books using our property management software, ensuring consistency with banking and QuickBooks ledgers.
- Process tenant security deposit returns and maintain associated records.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in accounting and bookkeeping.
- Reliable transportation.
- Willingness to work from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact professionally with tenants, property managers, and vendors.
- Preferred experience in the home building, home renovation, or property management industries.
- Familiarity with home operations, repairs, and maintenance troubleshooting.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks is a plus.
