We are looking to recruit Museum Assistants to join our team at Leeds.
The Royal Armouries is the United Kingdom’s national museum of arms and armour and one of the most important collections of its type in the world, housed at its headquarters and flagship museum in Leeds, its historic home at the Tower of London, and the Victorian Fort Nelson in Hampshire.
Working as a Museum Assistant you will work within all public-facing areas of the museum, proactively promoting activities and services available to customers including commercial areas while also ensuring the security of the museum collection. We are looking for someone who will work to ensure that we offer the best possible visitor experience to every single visitor.
Applicants will have substantial experience dealing in a public facing customer service role along with cash handling experience.
We have 3 permanent full time working 36 hours per week vacancies.
X2 on a rota working 5 / 7 days Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
X1 on a rota working 5 / 7 days Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
Some evening work and overtime work may also be available, especially during school holidays.
