Museum Assistants
£10.42 per hour
The Royal Armouries is the United Kingdom’s national museum of arms and armour and one of the most important collections of its type in the world, housed at its headquarters and flagship museum in Leeds, its historic home at the Tower of London, and the Victorian Fort Nelson in Hampshire.
Working as a museum assistant you will work within all public-facing areas of the museum, including welcoming visitors to the museum, looking after our world class collection and stewarding in the tiltyard.
Applicants will have substantial experience dealing in a public facing customer service role along with cash handling experience and supervisor duties.
A Police Check will be requested in the event of a successful application. However, a criminal record would not necessarily be a bar to employment. Any decision made would depend upon the nature of the position and the circumstances and background of your offence.
We have x 2 permanent positions working 14 hours a week on a Saturday and Sunday.
We have a x3 Seasonal positions to work for 3 months over the busy summer period (1st July to 30th September 2023).
We are recruiting x2 staff to work Saturday and Sunday’s for 14 hours a week and x1 staff to work Monday’s 7 hours a week.
